I was the first one to email the seller about buying said couch.
I have no truck.
I asked my husband to help...he lectured about putting the cart before the horse - You don't have an apartment yet; how do you know the couch will fit?
I don't know. But it's a nice couch at the right price and I'm going to need a couch.
But you always jump into things without thinking them through.
Yeah, but it's a nice couch at a good price and I'm going to need one.
But rather than fight, I emailed the seller and turned down the couch.
Which I still like, and would have probably been a good move.
I know there are other couches, but I am hoping to find a place where I make decisions and see them through, even if that means ending up with a couch that won't fit sometimes. Even that wouldn't be the end of the world.
The use of words such as "always" should raise a red flag.
ReplyDeleteConcerning furniture and shelter, humanscale doesn't change. Very little "doesn't fit".
I agree, when couched in those terms, it sounds very reasonable.
ReplyDeleteSofa, so good.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't stand for that.
ReplyDeleteOr take it lying down.
ReplyDeleteNow you're on a wild-goose chaise.
ReplyDelete..and will have to make alternative seating-arrangements.
ReplyDeleteWhen is a couch more than a couch?
ReplyDeleteWhen it diverts your attention by becoming semi-airborne and doing a weird hinge-flip over the tailgate of your truck?
OUCH...it's less-than-a-couch!
ReplyDeletewhen it's a coooouuuuucccchhhhh.
ReplyDeleteWhy did the couch not cross the street?
ReplyDeleteBecause it was a chicken divan.
